Back in Felixstowe after a great few days done 'South' :) and we were promised some wind and sunshine !!! I sorted out the van while keeping one eye on the wind and it gbot lighter and lighter as the day went on :( At 3ish the breeze picked up a little so I headed down to the beach and to find a couple rigging 9.5 on longboards and the wind was very light !!! I was undecided what to do - rig 8.5 for my big shortboard hoping it would fill in but in the end I went for the 9.4 and took out the longboard. My day fell apart when I went to get my extension with my new £40 pound uj and discovered it was missing !!! :( I must have left at Tanner Lane nr Lymington - if you know someone who found it please email -squirrell4@talktalk.net - cheers :) It was just windy enough to rail up on the beat using the dagger board, so I ended down the coast and turned at the River Orwell and had a nice reach back using the waves to get going. The wind seemed to fill in a little so I beat to the Manor end but the wind went light :( shame really as lots had come down to make the most of the forecast - shame it didn't live up to it's billing, more wind for tomorrow but might rain :(
